Hard at Work

Hello dear friends. I hope life is sweet where you are. I'm sorry I haven't been a good blogger lately, there's  just always something getting in the way whenever I try to write a post. I have a long list of things I want to share with you, but now I just can't seem to figure out which should go first because many of them have gone completely out of date. Yeah, it's sad, I know.

Well, the bright side is, I have been busy with work. That's always a good thing, right? I've been working a lot on special projects that I can't show you here, but here's one of the commissioned portraits I have finished recently....

Other that that, I have also been working more on personal nursery themed pieces and here are a couple of originals that are still available in my shop...

 Dante, pencils on paper

Alegra, pencils on paper

Of course, the real challenge right now is to put my back into completing my list of commissioned works and keep my sanity intact at the same time. Sounds like "mission impossible" to me. :)

So how about you? Busy doing any special projects lately? Do tell! :)

Warm hug,

Watercolor Dream

Splish, splash, dribble, dabble, splatter....
Tell me, who doesn't love the joy of painting with watercolor?
Just looking at these fantastic artworks is enough to make me want to grab my brush and plunge in. :)

I'm not sure why, but I think most fellow artists I know tend to have at least one medium that they long to master, even if they have a few others mastered already. To me, watercolor has always been it. Quite a huge contrast to the pencils I usually work with, wouldn't you say? Somehow I seem to feel a kind of "suspense" when working with watercolor. You just never quite know what you'll get at the end. :)

So anyway, I did end up grabbing that brush after all, and here's my humble result...

What about you? What medium do you dream of mastering? If you have succeeded already, please don't be shy to share your tips with us here! :)

Warm hug,
