My Kind of Immortality

"What if you could live forever?" A powerful tagline for a powerful story.

I remember reading Tuck Everlasting for the first time when I was still at school, and like most classics, the story is safely stored in the back of my mind until this very day. Never for once did I think I'd have the chance and the honor to work within its realm. So for that, I am more than thankful.

This is the cover of the translated version which I illustrated, to be available soon throughout Indonesia, published by Atria.

And thank you to those who took time to visit my new branch. I'll be posting more over there, so you're always welcome to stop by for a cup of tea and biscuits! :)

My best,
Amalia oxx

Also, I wish I owned a pair of shoes like the ones that lovely girl in your drawing is wearing :) Hahaha

  5. I guess that live forever is somewhat difficult ... First, because the people you love will not live forever, would be a lonely road, no? Hugs!*

  8. This book is not translated in Bulgarian, but I found information about it and about the author. I'll watch the movie but what I've already understood is that there's magic and mysticism in it. And I feel them in the atmosphere of your cover. That mystic wood with yarrow (?)and the golden light glittering on the girl's dress... Did you illustrate the book? I'm so happy for you, Amalia! Congratulations on your success!xx I hope you'll receive similar proposals for work in future, too!

  9. It is great to see the wonderful fruits of your labor.

Hah! If we live forever...what age are we going to be? Do we keep on getting old or are we stuck at a certain age? Do we suffer from diseases forever but never die? That would suck!

  12. My dear, so tender and romantic. *sigh* You know, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I have never read this book. I wish I could grab your illustrated version at my local bookstore. She is beautiful, and I adore her old fashioned dress. Those boots shall never go out of style. :) I love the way the light filters through the forest, and I LOVE Queen Anne's Lace! Fantastic job! You are on quite the roll!

  15. Yes, yes, yes! For being early, you get a candy bar with sugar content so high you will skyrocket to the moon. Getting back will be your own problem, though. Perhaps some of your twilight dust will work.... Here, take them. Grr. Umph. mmmmmph. Okay, Amalia, you must unfurl all your 16 fingers and toes to take them, you know. Okay, I'll just leave them on your lap.

    Toodles! xoxo

  19. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Thank you Amalia.

Bald is cool. Even the hirsute ones wanted to be bald just to be in the club. So I say, show your true bald head!

It's all Bella's fault, really. Ah she is so much fun and we all love her.

I am so glad you were a baldie. I think you look so sweet in the group picture. I enjoyed drawing you!

    Hahahahah!

  21. Oh, I'm such a bad host, aren't I??!!

I have been wandering around too much lately, trying to find some screws that got loose from my head. Heheh.

Well, is there anything else I can say other than thank you, thank you, thank youuuuu??!!!

For saying that I'm a 'hot' talent (!!!), that my work suits the book business well, for noticing little details in them, and all the generous best of luck wishes I probably don't deserve... Really, you are all so amazingly kind!

    OXOX ♥♥
