Moonsoon Misery

The monsoon is finally here. And in this tropical climate, that could mean days of constant heat, followed by days of constant rain. This cycle can play havoc with your body and your mood, which is why I find it so hard to stay inside the studio and really focus on work. I've had a few starts on possible new pieces, but half way through I always seem to lose the will to finish them. Not a good situation to be in, especially for people like me. :(

So, to make up for my pathetic lack of productivity, I think I'll just show you one of my successful attempts. It was definitely a very productive day from start to the end, long before the monsoon came....

This piece is called In a Moonlit Dream. It's one of my favorites, if I may say so shamelessly myself. There's something about "being inspired" that really add an extra bling to a piece of work. This one sold just a few hours after I published it on Facebook. Kind of proves my point, wouldn't you agree? Have you ever had this experience before? I'm sure it's not something that happens everyday for artists, but when it does, it definitely feels like you've struck gold. Makes me wish there's a button somewhere I can push to bring it back on days like these...

Oh well, lets hope things get better soon... Until next time! :)

Much love,

  4. This is gorgeous, I can understand why it's your favourite and that it flew out of the shop so quickly! I can only imagine what the weather might be like where you live. We do moan a lot in the UK about the rain but at least our weather changes all the time. I think you should use the rhythm of change and have a well deserved rest! :)
