aha SOOOO beautiful!! aww a little wooden girl!! The grain lines and joins are AMAZING!! love this!! you have such great ideas!! I loved those birds ,,Thanks! gorgeous! ( I have just been busy getting ready for an art show and my little one has had tonsillitis aargh!!!)
Such a peculiar drawing! Astonishing... Putting questions... I have the feeling that time has stopped for this wooden girl. But she's still looking ahead, waiting for Him - her puppeteer, to give her life, to make her smile... Her mouth is created to open, but obviously she does not want to. Midnight is the hour when dolls become alive, it's almost 12.30 - and she's still silent.Something must happen so that the anxiety and the chaos in the soul would disappear. I like very much her look, so dreamy, although sad!
Oh what beautiful rendering in this Amalia! The wood grain is perfect, the details in her dress, her piercing eyes - another masterpiece my dear, now if we could only master time! xoxo
Very haunting image Amalia! An unforgettable character and a beautiful color palette. Great job! P.S. Thanks for the nice comments you made about my piece. They were greatly appreciated.
Goodness, oh goodness, she is beautiful! I really love the soft drawing in the background as well. I think SHE's the culprit who's been stealing your time. It's right there in her hands.
oh, si doi sangatsangatsangat cantik sekali...seperti terbuat dari kayu asli...padahal dari kertas biasa ya...hahahahah garing ini gw pagi2 rariweuh, aku pengen kembali single seperi dulu. yayayayaya ntar aku buka2 ym kalo sempet, to be honest, ga pernah dibuka sama sekali, terlupakan. banyak pekerjaan yang tertunda, males aku pengen belanja ngabis2in duit.
You know Amalia, there are no archetypes for wooden girls in my book of wooden girls! Wonderful how you have kept the girl's beauty under the grain. She is so serene. The white band in her hair, the blouse - so innocent.
This is so haunting! I love her expression. Your characters' eyes are so intense. I love the woodgrain and the joints. There is something about this illustration that reminds me of something.
OMG!!! I just realized her outfit looks like my elementary school uniform! That is so cool!
Wow, this so cool. Of course none of the girls had blonde hair. There was one blonde American boy. His name was Steven. See what your illustration just did? It reminded me of a time long ago!
