My Daddy's Girl

My Daddy's Girl, mixed mediums

I am my daddy's girl
a fraction of his face
gracing my very own

the eyes and lips
that speak the same image
the airs and mimics
that mime the same meaning

So I am, my daddy's girl
a portion of his soul
living in a pool of my own

through minds
through dreams
though hopes
by heart

Yes, I am my daddy's girl
a fragment of the moon
shining the same light as his own.

I love you, Dad.

Other than life in general, my Dad has been ill and I haven't been able to think about other things because of the situation. Thank you for all the kind considerate e-mails and messages many of you have sent me, I am deeply touched.

I hope to visit your blogs whenever I get the chance. I miss you all so much.
