Hello again, everyone! Just letting you know that I'm in the process of opening a brand new shop over at Etsy. com. New concept, new look, and definitely new work by yours truly. Right now I'm having a Clearance Sale with huge discounts on all available items, which will commence until April 30th. So, chop chop, there's not much time left and limited stock won't last forever, yes? :)

Hope to see you there soon!!

Getting Ahead of Time

Ok, I'm cheating now.

Due to the fact that my creativity juice level is stubbornly standing on 'low', I'm afraid I have no choice but to post whatever I have up my sleeve... just to soothe my shaky self-esteem and convince myself that I still have it in me. (^___^)

Anak-anak yang Kembali, 2011, mixed mediums

This one is another illustration I did for a book by Benny Arnas. As you can probably tell, I've been using more digital mediums in my work lately. Well, other than giving myself full liberty to stay connected to technology (knowing how much of a cave woman I am), it is also a great way to keep time from getting ahead of me. So, thank God for technology! At least an ill feeling pregnant illustrator could still find comfort to know that she can finish her work. Eventually.

Now, I must share with you a lovely award that was given by my beautiful friend, Ana Márquez. If you visit her blog, you'll see that her creativity juice level is constantly marking the top spot, both in art and in writing. So thank you for the award, Ana. You are so very sweet.

To spread the love, I'm passing this award to all my bloggy friends and those who follow my blog. I only hope to give you a teeny bit of sunshine to accompany your day. Much love to all of you! ♥

Oh Lazy days...

Wow. I'm officially amazed. Never thought there would ever be a time when I'd spend my days doing absolutely nothing. Well, when just getting out of bed in the morning becomes a major task of the day, then you can imagine what it's like for me now to do the house chores or let alone work. Seriously, I get headaches when I go near my drawing table and the computer seems to have fangs on most parts of the day. Pathetic, isn't it?And they say that this would stop at the end of the first trimester. No such luck so far.

But as pitiful as I may sound right now, I am still trying to finish up some work, regretfully at intense snail speed. And I have proof to show it too! This piece below is one of the illustrations I did for a book by a young, talented Indonesian writer, Benny Arnas.

Seperti Natnitnole, 2011, mixed mediums

It really was quite an interesting project for me because the book is mainly about the bittersweet taste of love, and you all know how much of a sucker I am for love and romance. Bitter, or sweet it may be.

So while I carry on with my 'long break' ahead, I hope you're all having more fun and action in your days!

To Innocence

To Innocence, mixed mediums

Hello beautiful people. :)

As much as I hated to be away from blogging these past few weeks, I must admit that it was simply inevitable. Everything has kept me distant from work and leisure. Other than coping with the old, I've been adjusting to the new. Such as a constant drowsiness throughout the day, unpredictable mood swings and the need to just indulge myself with sleep. Not to mention a few days of being confined to bed from lack of rest. (Yes, Ces, you guessed right that time) I am, once again, expecting. And being over 30 makes the previous two seem like pony rides compared to being on this roller coaster.

But what can I say? This little guest has made it into my life unannounced and after three months, I can honestly say that it's probably one of the biggest surprises I've ever had in my life. No matter how perfectly you try to plan life, something eventually happens to remind you that you never have total control. C'est la vie. :)

So I hope life has been treating you kind during my absence. I have missed so many of you, and maybe I'd be able to steal some time to visit you soon. That is, if the hormones ever decided to give me a little break. :)
