Stepping Forward

To me, creating art is a journey...
With one departure and one final destination.
Each creation bears the past, present and future.
Carrying the essence of a dream to move forward,
one step at a time.

The Life of a Rose, pencils and watercolor on paper

My art is a journal of my unspoken words.
It takes me to places I've never seen and show me my own true reflection.

So come closer and tell me... does it speak to you?

To me....and many, many others, it speaks to that place within us that is sentimental , the window we sit by and stare through...daydreaming......the place that holds our dearest thoughts and wishes :)

Beautiful....

Oh my! I find this piece very gripping! It's gorgeous, and she is beautiful, and I love the flow. The rose, though beautiful, is quite startling with its all-seeing center. And I love the way everything is pulled powerfully to the left. Fantastic piece, and wooohooo, what a privilege to see your process!

Yes it certainly does!! My head's still filled with Alice-in-Wonderland at the moment so this could be perhaps why I'm thinking your picture reminds me of it! Your creativity has shot to the stars since you've had your baby, this is stunning, alsolutely stunning.

Amalia..your work speaks to me! I'm always drawn into them - perhaps the soulful eyes, or the softness of the feeling each creation emanates that draw us all in. I hear you - taking one piece from sketch to completion is a journey..I hope that your journeys are peaceful and enjoyable - they seem to be quite so, and almost meditative too. Wishing you well, my friend!!
