Stepping Back into the Light

Two years ago I created a series of black and white drawings that I named "Sow Your Light" to help relief the tragedy that struck in my country, Indonesia. I am still beyond grateful for the donations that many of you contributed to help the victims, and I think having these drawings shipped to their new homes was probably one of the most gratifying moments for me as an artist. So again, thank you to all of you who had been so kind as to lend a helping hand for my people. God bless you.

As of today, these nymphs are back in a brand new look, readily available as fine art prints in my shop.

Have a beautiful day!

Hugs,

  5. When I was looking at this nymphs - before I read your piece about them - I felt that they had a certain depth to them, a certain melancholy air that hinted at a sadness but a resolution at the some time - art is wonderful - how it conveys a feeling, an emotion and most of all hope.

    1. Thank you, Clare. It was quite an emotional journey for me to draw these girls. The whole country was shook by the tragedy and I still wish that I could have done more. Yes, I agree, art is amazing. :)

  6. The strokes are well-done! You know where the light hits and where it does not. You just used few colors but the result still gives the viewer's eye maximum effect. I love it :)

What medium did you use? Color pencil?

    1. Hi Bettina! Thanks so much, you're so sweet. I used graphite pencil to draw the girls and then colored them digitally. :)
