This is stunning Amalia and very poignant to my life. My father (now died) was a leo, two long term boyfriends were leos and my husband is a Leo! Whay is it about that graceful animal and you've used the pencils in such a sensitive way with the mane and the girl's hair. Wow! xx
I want to know the shampoo they use because they both have gorgeous locks. Beautiful, Amalia, but I must say that I sort of assumed a self-protective stunt when I saw the image. Somehow I cannot get myself to trust a beast, no matter how tame it looks for now.
Oh! I like how the sun complete the tree top, it is not scarcely a light, if not that is a light that gives him life filling it with leaves (imaginary leaves, maybe) but always beautiful :)
Magical! Amalia!!! Oooooh...I love this. I audibly said "WOW!" Your work makes me do this. Just lovely - all of these beautiful images in your mind and flowing out of your hands...you are soooo good!
Thank you for your kind visit - I'm so glad to cause a laugh today! : ) Heeee!!
I don't want to analyse this time, I just want to sit in silence and enjoy your wonderful drawing! The more I'm looking at it, the more I'm having the feeling that I'm sinking in its atmosphere of peace, trust, love and harmony... I like the lion's mane, I like her caress... I suppose he's an enchanted prince, besides a handsome one, having in mind the beauty of his eyes...(like in "Beauty and the Beast" or "Snow White and Rose Red"). The apple is a good accent in the drawing - provoking our imagination! Marvellous work, Amalia! And I like so much your new photos!!xx
Monsieur Finnie, not quite so full with the analysis this time, are you? Aah, too bad... I was looking forward to your usual talent of 'book reading'!! :D :D :D But of course, thank you all the same... I particularly like your last sentence. :)
Jessie dear, yes, lions are magnificent creatures, aren't they? Leos are quite intriguing, indeed! Would you believe me if I told you that both my father and husband are Leos too??! (^__^)
Manon & Julia, thank you sweets!! :
Flor!! Good to see you here again, I've missed seeing your avatar here...and the new one looks lovely!
Ces, RRAAAWWRRRR to you too!! Hahaha! Well, just so you know, this particular beast's roar is worse than its bite! So you don't have to worry..hehehe....and thank you, Goddess of the Acorns. :))
Amba, not surprising that you would notice the tree! We both do that, don't we? Thanks, sweetie. :))
Shirley, oh, you're always so generous with your words... This morning you made me laugh and now my heart feels all warm. Thanks so much! (^_^)
Ah, Rossichka, I wish I could sit in silence with you, over a cup of coffee or tea, perhaps? The lion is of course perfect. I suppose every girl needs a 'prince' up in her mind at some points in her life, don't you think? Thank you for your lovely words :)) oxx
Heeyy!! I thought you said you had a wooden nose??! Wouldn't it be heavy, if it was large? I mean, you'd be dragging you face on the street! Hahahahaaa...!!!
You have a beautiful and sensitive style. I love the way your rendering gives a harmonious feel to the characters. Thank-you for the kind words on my piece.
It makes me think of Aslan from the Narnia books, I love the line when we are reminded that "he is not a tame Lion'. The beauty of power, quiet and restrained and the trust that the power will not ever hurt or abuse. Lovely *sigh*
The fingers you are talking about releasing; they are the ones on your left hand, right? Beautiful work. Contact Mita and see if she can lease an extenda-broom and bring the gang for coffee in a few hours.
Mita & Kylie, doesn't surprise me that you would think of them as characters from Narnia... Although these two are brought out from a different kind of story. A much more bizarre kind, of course. Hehee :))
Heidi, Heather & Paty, hello hello! Thanks for your lovely words... (^_^)
Hey there, Pat! Aah, I see you've came in true form? Hahahaa! Well, thank you for that invitation, I will definitely come, providing Mita still has extra space on her broom. :D :D
Oh, and yes! You're very observant, the left hand is obviously the busy one! Hehehehee... Cheers! :)
Amalia, You are stunningly talented. Your latest image is ... words escape me (ME!). I would love to create a children's book with you about you know who ;)
this is beautiful Amalia. Sorry I am late to the party, I love the lion, it is graceful and beautiful as are all of your girls. I have to agree with Shirley it is quite magical.
Alexiev & Laura, hello! Nice seeing you here...and thanks for your comment. :)
Lissa & Ana, I've always loved Beauty & the Beast. Makes me think about how right and wrong human (or beasts) are judged through each other' eyes. :)
Leah! You're here at last..haha! Well, thanks for popping in saying such a nice thing about my work. And of course I would LOVE to make a book with you about you-know-who! (^____^)
Karen, hey! Always good to see you, late or not. Heheh. Thanks of course, and I hope the picnic went well! :))
If Karen is late... them I'm either very, very late or early for your next masterpiece! Thios is one of my favorites! Love the hair and the mane. Especially the way she is letting it flow through her fingers. Such a beautiful piece Amalia! I'm partial to lions.... :o)
Every time I come here, my heart pounds a little harder. I think you are good for my cardio workout, Amalia! Aaaaah, so much beauty and serenity. What a beautiful bond they share. I'm sure no words need to be spoken. And their hair! Again with the hair! You are the master of gorgeous locks.
I would LOVE a tickle feather! Please, could you have it delivered before the next full moon?
Hello Roberto, nice to see part of your glasses here. :)
Hahaa, Jack! You know you are always welcome here, whether you are late or not. You're particularly partial to lions? Well, I am to bats. Especially those hanging upside down. :D :D
Bella my sweet! Hahahaa... cardio workouts, huh? Well, I'll take that as a compliment, though I hope you don't mind the sweat! Thanks so much you know, I'm sure you have great hair too... :)
Amba...GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!! oxx
Tammie & Annie, thank you for your lovely words, just too sweet of you! :)
Heather, you're pretty talented yourself! That bride and groom drawing is lovely... cheers! :)
Just magical Amalia!! Your lovely images always transport me to another place. And I love the fairytale quality, as I'm sure you can guess :) Have a lovely day! :) ~Lauren
Yet the beast is too handsome? Must be the eye of the beholder!
ReplyDeleteLove the juxtaposition of myth and myth here. Yet there is no snake?
It must be hidden.
These images could speak across a thousand years.

Oh I didn't want to spoil it for everyone else :)
ReplyDeleteBut seriously I was typing with my nose which made it harder for me to type big words (my nose is adequately large)
Heeyy!! I thought you said you had a wooden nose??! Wouldn't it be heavy, if it was large? I mean, you'd be dragging you face on the street! Hahahahaaa...!!!
