An ardent heart with wings,
seeking love on no man's land
A string of wishful thinking,
sailing away into darkness
Foolish as fools can be
Blind as blind men can only see
Always a fountain of hopes
Never a mountain of wisdom
So goes the story of one's life
~ A.K ~
Life is a series of stories. So mine seems to be. Along the way, through all of its scenarios, I have stumbled and fallen, only to find myself climbing back to my own two feet. Most of the times. The images you see and words you read here in my personal chamber of thoughts are tokens of my past and present. They are inspired by dreams, unspoken thoughts, long lost messages and meaningful conversations. All the things I keep and seek for in this ever intriguing journey we call life.
Thank you for lingering. Your presence and friendship are gems to my story.
Best,
Amalia oxx
That is a verry pretty drawing, but what can we do to set the bird free?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week
Janine
This drawing made me sad, really sad! And what I mostly don't like is that She had striked in her loneliness and despair. She must get out of there as soon as possible, run away from that place, open her eyes for the world, let her heart beat free. Cause somewhere there's for sure a man's heart that's flying to meet hers. And that will change thе present scenario of her life! xxxxx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Janine! We'll set the heart free as soon as it's healed... :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Rossichka! You are the queen of soothing words, indeed! I know my art may seem sad and tragic these days, but I assure you that they are just memories and thoughts I need to pour out. It helps me to see things clearly... Thank you, dear friend. (hugs!!)

ReplyDeleteDo you remember your "Rhythmic Magnetism, An Embrace"? I read Bellas' comment, she was telling you that it remember her the yin and yang... I thought about your words in another comment, you said "It is hurting her, but she feels nothing because the embrace dismisses all her pain."... I think: that is because pain is in a balanced territoy... and that related me again to yin and yang symbol. I don't know if the girl I draw is you... the girl is on an elephant, elephant represent the soil, the earth. I associate paisley pattern to nature...

ReplyDeleteAmalia ... I was preparing a pencil drawing to prepare the painting ... and I saw the photo of your friend in your blog ... AHAHAH!!! yes :D a normal day here is like this: my sisters (Mi and Blanca) are reading comics in the middle of my mom's forest. I'm drawing with my brother near the forest. then the party starts! imagine different animals trying to live together in the same cage... everyday I have to solve discussions :) between the lion (Mi), the pig (Blanca) and the dog (my brother)
ReplyDelete(and I should say: it's a really small cage...)
ReplyDeleteI'm... I'm... ah! I'm a horse :) wild but faithful for those who I love, oh! it's perfect for a circus drawing! (oh! you don't sleep, sister tree?)

ReplyDelete"Did you see Amalia's tree?" she asked me over the phone.
ReplyDelete"No, not yet," I replied.
"Go. Go. You HAVE to see this tree. *gasp* It is so beautiful, the most wonderful tree. That Amalia, she is really an incredible illustrator."
And so I cam here, at the urging of someone special whose opinions I respect utmost. She did not deceive. And you did not disappoint. There is an abundance of symbolism and significance in your drawings, particularly the ones that come deepest from your heart. I see she is now rooted and absorbing some healing from her sheltering tree, the very tree that does not cage her heart but rather protects it. Truly, truly beautiful and poetic, dear Amalia!
Thank you everyone, for warming my heart with your kind words. You are all gems in my story!! (HUGS)
ReplyDeleteBella, you and Ces are definitely something else! And generous to the roots. Hehehee...
ReplyDeleteYou know, sometimes it amazes me how clearly you see my work. Do they seem so obvious to you? Maybe some people do travel in the same wavelength. Well, either that or you're just a born art interpreter. Thank you, sweet!! oxx

Haaaay! Here is Mita full of words and I cannot understand a darn thing!
ReplyDeleteYesterday when I saw this tree I was blinded by it that the poem breezed by me.
Ahh My dearest Amalia. The mind is a powerful thing. It dictates our heart. How did the mind get that way in the first place? Was it desire or was it one's will?
You know, love isn't exactly what we think it is sometimes. I don't want to to sound like a killjoy but people tend to think so highly of it.
You are right in one way or another, my dear Ces. Sometimes we think too highly of love, it blinds us. I remember the time when I wanted nothing more than to love and to be loved. The feeling took over my mind completely. But there is also the feeling of a love safely harbored and secured in the heart as well as in the mind. That is a thousand times more beautiful, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteDesire is definitely a dangerous, dangerous thing.
ReplyDeleteOn a very serious note first, YOU HAVE OUT DONE YOURSELF WITH THIS PIECE OF BEAUTY! Oh my goodness how gorgeous is this???? You have pulled out all the stops. It's wonderful!!! Now your comments had me laughing so hard this morning I had to dry my eyes twice! You are hilarious! Thanks for making my day and making me laugh so hard. Hugs to you my very hilarious friend.
ReplyDeleteV
Hahahaa...anytime, V, anytime. And thank youuu!!! You're definitely one of the brightest gems I have in my pocket. (^-^)
ReplyDeleteanother beauty! i hope you know how talented you truly are!
ReplyDeleteheather
beautiful! ♥
ReplyDeletedreamy and wonderful! I love all the details, the island, the tree, the heart with wings within the heart of the tree and your words that you generously share with us, lovely and tender all~
ReplyDelete"I hate love!"
ReplyDeleteWho said that?
I am free! I can now apply my make up, eat a burger and comment on your blog at the same time!!!
Viola!!!
oh I don't think I can talk about love right now. I have to complete a spreadsheet about rules and love does not follow rules.
ReplyDeleteWait until I get home this evening. I will devote my time to you! Tsup!
ReplyDeleteHello Amalia, well this girl is so soft and delicate an beautiful. I just checked some of your older work, thinking I would say that your new work is just amazing and that there has been a big change.
ReplyDeleteBut that would be lying. It's all beautiful.
And wayne anderson? Very strange, quirky and I have his circus book down stairs and have terasured it for years - though it reminds me of LSD
Heh I forgot to say that the tree is soft and delicate and beautiful, but those sneaky roots? She must have been there a while - or perhaps the tree is a fast worker?
ReplyDeleteAhahahaa...Ces, you crack me up! Careful not to apply your burger and eat your make-up there! :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the favor, you are TOPS!!
You know, I'm quite curious now to hear about your ideas and definitions on 'love'... No doubt I'll be inspired! Hehee... oxx
Well Andrew, I feed on "soft, delicate and beautiful", you know. Quite a balancing trick I learned while figuring out the hard and rugged encounters I'm facing. It's incredible how tender these encounters could turn out to be sometimes. :))
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments, of course. Glad to know you're familiar with Wayne Anderson's work. Not many people are. LSD? Really? :D
Yes, that tree is a fast worker, I suppose. Reminds me of this rugged encounter I came across just recently. :))
Great illustration, it seems to have a slight Art Nouveau feel to it with all those beautiful flowing curves and lines.
ReplyDeleteAnother beauty, Amalia. It is soft, delicate and beautiful like all of your drawings. And you, as well, Amalia, seem to have a soft, delicate and beautiful personality. Perhaps this is why such beauty appears on paper when you pick up your pencil to draw.
ReplyDeleteAnd the words you write... always so beautiful and meaningful.
Ah, Love. It does entrap our hearts and souls, it often causes pain, but when it is true, it makes you soar. And SO many kinds of love. My heart is full with the love of so many friends in this Blog World. Who would have ever imagined?
I am happy to call you friend.
Have the best weekend!
♥ audrey
