Silence and Nothing More (IF-Ripple)

you gave me hope
then took away everything
you quenched my thirst
then drained my soul empty

stumbling
crawling
lying very still
my eyes see nothing
my skin yearns to feel

no words will cry
though tears may fall
for I will suffer in silence
and nothing more

  1. She is very beautiful, but the words make me so sad for her...I hope they are not words from your heart...

  2. Hmn, what do you do with someone who does this? Tell them to go to hell, you don't need them. Don't get too comfortable with suffering, honey. Move on and find another. That's what I'll do. Nothing can even drag your art down. Look at this beautiful illustration!

  3. Oh so sweet! is what I think when I see your art. Beautiful. She has life to me, and I'm sure she lives as part of you. You could walk on water too :)

  5. Oh, Amalia, I would like to think this is not happening to you, but if it is - here're my words of consolation... A day will come, when someone else will "give you a new hope" and will caress your wounded heart. This often happens in life, you know!:))
What about the poem - I like it, I've passed through such feelings when I was young, but now everything's just a faded memory...
I like the movement of the water. It's the accent in your drawing for me and it strenghtens the condition of inner suffering and sinking in the pain. The girl is looking without seeing. But she's not alone... The hug of these bare trees is much more stronger than if they were in leaves and colours!xxx

  15. a tree without leaves is only a sleeping tree.
Sprinkle trees that surround you with the water that you caress and new leaves will grow in your life.
    Peace, Sister Tree :)

  37. Hello Amalia, well I go away for a while and then come back to your beautiful work and find there is an epiphanical collection of wonderful images that have blossomed. (Do you like the word 'epiphanica'?)

But seriously, there is so much raw energy in your recentwork. It's very beautiful - but with an edge.

Have you read A Farewell to Arms ...." In the bed of the river there were pebbles and
boulders, dry and white in the sun, and the water was clear and swiftly moving and blue
in the channels. Troops went by the house and down the road and the dust they raised
powdered the leaves of the trees. The trunks of the trees too were dusty and the leaves
fell early that year and we saw the troops marching along the road and the dust rising
and leaves, stirred by the breeze, falling and the soldiers marching and afterward the
road bare and white except for the leaves."

Your trees and poem and image remind me of this (sad and beautiful), though they have no leaves

    see you!

  39. Aha. I knew something felt different the minute I came here, and so it appeared that we have had the pleasure of Monsieur Finnie's presence. And with a souvenir too! 'Epiphanica'? Now, I know you well enough not to be surprised at your eager interest when it come to the matter of ***** Hahaha! Yes, the word does sound beautiful though, doesn't it? :)

Thank you for the reminder of E.H's wonderful words, he was a brilliant, brilliant man. Would you believe me if I told you I dreamed this image? Because I did... :)

It's good to see you here again, my good friend! Thank you for your kind words... :)

  40. Hey! It's good to have dreams. I once dreamt that I was short and old - I am still waiting to wake up!

But seriously, I once dreamt of two trees, each had an intertwined snake, wrapped around its trunk. The trees were in a beautiful tropical forest, and, in the distance, a lovely turquoise bay.

When I woke up, I painted my dream. Unlike yours, my painting was terrible, yet when I look at the painting, I remember the dream.

I don't know what it meant though. Possibly that beauty always comes with a 'sting'.

    ReplyDelete
  41. What?? I thought you said you were tall and handsome!! Well, there goes the friendship. Hahahaha!! Just kidding! :D :D

You know, that dream sounds enchanting. The snakes seem to emphasize on reality, don't they? Nothing is perfect I suppose, even beauty. But imagine if everything is, perfect, wouldn't you get bored??? Sometimes the 'sting' is what people look for, no? (^-^)

  43. Oh, Amalia, Amalia! I've been away too long! There is no limit to the beauty of your women. She is poetic, my dear. Her eyes have that faraway look as she mindlessly causes a ripple. And the trees reach to console her. Oh my goodness, this is absolutely gorgeous!
