oooo Amalia! I just sat and stared and stared and stared at this. So beautiful and captivating! How did you come up with such a beautiful piece out of an undoubtedly "ugly" word. You amazing me my dear friend. Hey I'm number one commenter!!!! Woo Hoo do I get a prize. Maybe the same thing that Andrew gave you? hehehe
Ahahaha...Of course you get a prize, Jack!! I'll give you something nice and delicious, unlike that Monsieur Finnie..*grumble, grumble*... He only sent me a thank you note with misspelled words! (^_____^)
.... beautiful and mysterious, the 'tattoo' suggests something wild? Yet the other side of the face is so serene and controlled. Interesting, the ambivalence here. But the poem says it all, that, though she may be corrupted, her heart will never be.
Oh my GOSH, oh my GOSH, this is so captivating and arresting! Whoaaaaaaa. Beautiful billowy cloth, and even her tattoo is gorgeous. Please, please, please dear Amalia, what kind of shampoo does she use? I need hair like that!
Next time, try 'ding-a-ling.' People seem to say that to me a lot. Hmmmm
Gorgeous, Amalia! I, like Jack, just had to stop and stare at this for a long moment...wow. She is arresting. Her facade makes you pause, but I believe her eyes show us her true character. I am SO happy that there is still a place in your heart for my very sporadic visits nowadays. I am so sorry to be amiss..I have missed my artwork and my friends so much. It is so good to be back, Amalia. Hugs to you!
She has walked a long path to become the girl she is now (her dress resembles me that path). She has obviously a lot to think upon, to remember and... to dream of. She's sad and her tattoo is like a spider's web - it might "capture" her. Still I hope that "good will win" - her eyes deserve it. Very, very nice drawn!! Like always!:-) xx
I was faithfully waiting for your contribution for illustration friday... because I love all your drawings, and everytime you post one of them, you give me a big (and good) surprise
So slithery! A beautiful interpretation of a rather creepy word! I love all the movement-- and how her hair is even slithering onto her face in curlicues. And, yep, Bella's right, she's having a good hair day!
Okay I came here ready to comment on you fantastic art and I read the great Bella and my mind went down the drain. HAHAHAHAHA! OMG. I want two bottles of that shampoo! HAHAHAHAHA! Oh gosh, I wish I could stay. Gotta go to work. Have a grand day!
Wow!!! How do you do it!!! She is beautiful, what a wonderful concept for this weeks theme!!! I really struggled with this word this week and have still not come up with anything. I love your take on it though! :0)

Very perceptive, Monsieur. No doubt you're on the corrupting side? *wink, wink, nod, nod* :D :D
ReplyDeleteI don't know which side will win yet. After all, the quest has only just begun. (^_^)
